Things have been booming for CDzNUTS, and soap nuts in general. We’ve been in contact with NaturOli, the brand of product we sell, and things are going great for them as well. Up here in Michigan, the word spreads like wild fire and the next thing you know everyone hears about these so-called “soap nuts”. Well that is wonderful! We are trying to supply as many people, everywhere, with the knowledge on how eco-friendly soap nuts really are. This summer and fall will bring a high level of exposure to the antifungal laundry detergent.

We plan on hitting the college markets, and hitting them hard. Today’s students are very environmentally conscious. That is how we want the entire nation to be. We hope that today’s recession will have an impact on this generation, just like the Great Depression did to the generation who lived through the 30′s.

From personal observation, elderly folks who have lived through the Great Depression (or their parents did) still hold the same values that they did when saving money and resources were extremely important. Orange juice containers are used as mini garbage cans, milk jugs are used to store water in case of a shortage, and for the ones who are still physically able, gardening. These minuscule qualities had a huge impact on saving money when it was needed. We’re hoping that this recession will encourage today’s “green generations” will want to save money AND trees.

That’s where we come in. We sell the NaturOli Brand soap nuts at all the same prices as NaturOli themselves, if not, cheaper; but we come to you. Foot Fungus Got You Wearing Sock With Sandals?

Over 40 million Americans suffer from foot fungus of various degrees; namely athlete’s foot (also known as tinea pedis). Athlete’s foot is most commonly caused by the fungus name Trichophyton. This doesn’t only affect your feet. Fungus can thrive anywhere on your body that is irritated, most, and warm. This includes your scalp, groin, arms and legs, and trunk. Gross right? The worst part is that you may acquire the fungus unsuspectingly from pools, showers (don’t forget about community showers), locker rooms, and the floor in a gymnasium. Even socks can induce fungus.

There are three common types to watch out for:

1. “Interdigital,” which affects the skin between your toes
2. “Moccasin,” which affects the soles of your feet
3. Inflammatory blistering

Avoiding foot fungus (and any bacterial growth for that matter) is very easy.
Buy, and wear, any shoes with a breathable or perforated material. Also, cotton sock will help wick away moisture from your feet.

We have started our soapnuts website because we found soapnuts to be one of the most amazing green cleaning products. (Many people spell it soap nuts). I use soapberries (also a common name) mostly for chemical free laundry detergent.

I have a lot in store for this blog. I will talk about the different ways to use this soap such as in your very own organic soapnut shampoo, in your dorm room, and out camping. Soapnuts can be used for just about anything, all it takes is some imagination.
